BEYØND

began as an intention to bring light into the visual darkness of musical soundscapes.
The process is a real-time transformation of sound into emotional impressions and visual forms emerging within my inner vision. Through light, projection, and movement, these impressions are translated into space and shared with the audience. I call this creative process 'The Dance of Imagination'.
Unlike my photographic and installation works, which aspire toward permanence and the possibility of being encountered by future generations, these performances exist only in the present moment. They are intangible compositions of light, atmosphere, and perception, appearing and disappearing together with the music that gives birth to them.

YARAT Contemporary Art Space presents Two Point Perspective Visual Experience Vol.2 by Beyond the Scope with participation of Emin Mathers & Orkhan Mammad (Origraphy), music by George Effe in frame of YARAT Freestyle project.
Music uses the laws of vibration to manifest aurally what exists at the center of everything. It uses the laws of physics and mathematics to bring out an emotional response in the listener, into our reality springs a non-visual harmonic law of is universal, the notes and intervals of music speak directly
to the chakra centres and causes them to vibrate in harmony to the vibration of a string or vocal chords, speakers moving through the air. Geometry in techno. totally hypnotic and compelling.

About the project: The physical processing of sounds by the brain leave remnants in its structure as it learns about the outside world. Eventually the universe and the platonic realm of laws and structures are perceived. But while the natural laws and their resulting universe seem to create and contain the mind, the mind ultimately contains them all. Chemical processes perform an endless dance of growing and dissolving, flooding and evaporating, melting and recrystallising, creating an all together perfectly synced synthesis of sound and picture.

Who we are?: Multitasking artists, free spirits who love life and enjoy exploring new art dimensions. Our art is an interpretation of our vision of life and surrounding world. Visual performances help us to express our understanding of music and establish a special connection with public.

Format: live music performance
Technical solutions: Projector
Impact: Audience 250+
YARAT Contemporary Art Space presents 'Gentle Objects' live music performance by AISEL. First guest of this project is Azerbaijani pianist, composer and vocalist Aisel Mammadova.
Gentle Objects is a series of performances that call for a dialogue about gender. It addresses the role of a woman in modern society. This curatorial project examines the historical and contemporary circumstances, which have shaped the relationships between men and women. It raises fundamental questions about gender relations, explores philosophical assumptions about human nature, and considers the possibility of new social practices, which will bring about greater equality and mutual understanding.

The question of gender equality to be raised and supported by a number of female performers.
From 2017 to 2022 the path toward BEYØND unfolded through
years of exploration between two seemingly distant worlds: techno
culture and photographic art.
Within underground electronic music environments, visual imagery gradually dissolved into pure rhythm, color and intensity. Working
primarily with moving beams of light, the focus shifted from representation to sensation. At the same time, photography was a parallel search for
a personal visual language and artistic philosophy.
The complete shape of practice emerged when these two directions converged. Invited to create visuals for an electronic music event following an exhibition opening, I recognized patterns of the preparation
process—the visual research, collection of footage, and artistic
reflection—and the live performance itself where the spirit manifests.
In that moment, the format became clear: BEYØND was not simply visual accompaniment to music, but a live artistic practice where sound, light
and imagination meet within a shared experience.
HEAVEN CAN WAIT
Space & Time: XX - XXI Centuries Painting Museum / 2023
Format: Electronic music & multimedia show
Technical solutions: 10 X 4 m LED screen on the stage
Impact: Audience 700+
The landscape created at the center of Aida Mahmudova's solo exhibition "Heaven Can Wait" criticizes the pathology of the "I", although the reality seems individual and difficult to understand at first glance. On the one
hand, life stands before us with all its anatomical reality, and in some cases, life has more meaning than an ordinary landscape. The group exhibition "The Seventh Solitude" is based on the mysterious concept of the "seventh solitude" put forward by the German philosopher F. Nietzsche in his philosophical works, and attempts to connect fundamental values such as modern alienation/alienation, existence and eternal return in a social context.
The afterparty featured 3 hours of non-stop electronic music by U-who, Ellvn, Ayzk, Phardy and Anar Keytarman, visualised in real time by Emin Mathers.

VOICE OF THE CITY

Space & Time: Azerbaijan Film Studio / 2026
Format: World Urban Forum pre-opening event
Technical solutions: Projector illuminating 15 X 8 M concrete wall
Impact: Audience 500+
Within the framework of a one-hour live performance, Emin created a real-time visual composition synchronized with the rhythm and motifs of
the DJ set, using fragments of archival footage from Baku and its residents taken from iconic films produced by Azerbaijanfilm during the 20th century.

On a secondary visual layer, these scenes were connected with psychedelic animations created both by the artist himself and contemporary digital artist Jake Fried. By merging two seemingly incompatible visual worlds, the performance opened a fresh perspective on imagery deeply familiar to the local audience, transforming collective memory into a contemporary audiovisual experience.

GALAXY by
Asmar Behbudova

Space & Time: Kapellhaus Baku / 2026
Format: Neo-classic music concert
Technical solutions: Projector illuminating 12 X 12 m wall
Impact: Audience 100+
Practicing light installations primarily in collaboration with electronic music for many years, I had been inspired for a long time by the idea of experimenting with classical music within a sacred architectural space. This vision finally found its place during the presentation concert of seven compositions by composer Asmar Behbudova, creating a dialogue between light, sound and the atmosphere of the kapellhaus, and it's semicircular arch of the stage became the ideal starting point for Cosmic forms and dynamics.
